Monterey Hills Elementary/SPUSD 2014 Yearbook Entry Description: I wanted to design something clean and linear, but colorful and playful, fitting the color-block theme chosen by our editor, and simple enough to be enjoyed by 10-11-year-olds. I found inspiration in a timeline template used by one of my freelance clients. I thought of the circular photos after researching some design sites I like -- I thought they would provide a nice contrast to the straight lines in the structure of the dates, and give me an opportunity to use more colors from the yearbook theme.
